Diploma in Computer Digital Editing
Successful graduates of this course are eligible for CEF reimbursement of 80% of tuition fee subject to a maximum of HK$10,000.
Students must meet the attendance rate of 80% or above and satisfy the academic requirements prescribed by the faculty in order to be awarded the Diploma of Graduation.
The course is designed for those who aim to work as film/video editors in the film and TV industries. It covers all aspects of Computer Digital On-line Editing, both visual and audio, with emphasis on AV Captures, Use of Transitions and Filters, Titles and Special Effects and A/V Output etc. Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro & AVID will be employed as lecturing media.

1. Aesthetics of Film Editing: Composition.
2. Aesthetics of Film Editing: Rhythm.
3. Aesthetics of Film Editing: Space.
4. Aesthetics of Film Editing: Time.
5. Digital processing from different sources: Characters, Sound, Photographs, Pictures etc.
6. Non-linear Video Recording Editing Practice.
7. Different editing plans for all kinds of combination preview.
8. Demonstration and Operation of Subtitles.
9. Sound Editing.
10. Sound Effects Mixing.
11. Multi-Channel Computer Sound Mixing.
12. Spatial Continuity: "180 degree Rules".
13. Compositions and Rhythm in Film Editing Creatvity.
14. "Jump-Cut": discontinuity in time and space
15. Relationship between Visual and Audio Elements.
